Notice about the Class Arrangement for International Students

in the First Semester of 2020-2021

Dear international new students:

According to the arrangement of the college, 2020 international students will implement the online curriculum. The relevant teaching arrangements are hereby notified as follows:

Class start time

The 2020 international new students’courses will start on November 2.

Teaching mode and preparation

The teaching mode for international students who are currenly out of China in this semester is online teaching. All students are requested to download and install the WeChat and Voov meeting App before October 30 (Beijing time). In addition, you need to use their own account and password to login the Fan-Ya platform. All students are requested to prepare in advance the network, computers, cameras and microphones that can take live lessons, download and register the teaching software according to the requirements and prepare for online classes.

Course content

According to relevant policies and basic information of international students, the school has arranged four courses for you, respectively are listening and speaking, reading and writing, elementary comprehensive and Chinese business culture.

In order to help everyone improve Chinese ability and pass the corresponding HSK test as soon as possible, the courses of this semester will focus on Chinese (16 lessons per week), and one specialized course for your major.(3 lessons per week). In addition, the course is divided into live and recorded broadcast. Please check the schedule strictly and arrange your own time in advance.

Related requirements of online courses

All students should take online courses seriously. All courses offered in this semester have attendance, examination or assessment. Those who do not participate in the teaching activities will be deemed to have given up their qualifications to study at Jiangsu College of Tourism; if the attendance does not meet the requirements, you are not allowed to take the course exams or assessments and need to apply for retakes.

Important information and notices will be published through our email. Teachers will also publish notices through email or wechat. Please keep in touch with your headteacher everyday amd pay close attention to your own email box and class wechat group.
