学院概况Brief Introduction

江苏旅游职业学院是一所全日制公办普通高等专科学校。学院坐落于中国历史文化名城——扬州，占地1000亩，总建面积30万平方米。学院地处扬州临港新城中心地带，北望高旻寺、南眺扬子江、西依古运河、东临凤栖湖，按5A景区标准建设，集萃扬州园林精华，校园即公园、建筑即景点、情境即学境，是理想的求学圣地。学院前身为1959年创建的扬州市烹饪学校，2017年定名为江苏旅游职业学院。

Jiangsu College of Tourism is a full-time public general college, located in Yangzhou (a famous historical and cultural city in China). It covers an area of 1,000 mu and a total construction area of 300,000 square meters. The college is located in the center of Yangzhou Lingang New Town, with Gaomin Temple in the north, Yangzi River in the south, ancient canal in the west, and Fengqi Lake in the east. It’s built by the rule of 5A scenic area standard and gathers the essence of Yangzhou gardens, the campus is the park, the building is the scenic spot, the atmosphere of learning is immersed by the environment, which embodies the ideal place for learning. The predecessor of the college was the Yangzhou Culinary School founded in 1959. In 2017, it was named Jiangsu College of Tourism.

专业特色 Professional Features

江苏旅游职业学院是一所特色鲜明的旅游类高职院校，现有在校生12,000余人，设有烹饪科技学院、旅游管理学院、信息工程学院、国际商务学院、工艺美术学院、经济管理学院、体育部、基础部、马克思主义学院等9个二级院系（部），开设有旅游管理、酒店管理、烹调工艺与营养、空中乘务等34个与旅游业密切相关专业，其中全国职业院校民族文化传承与创新示范点1个，省级品牌专业5个，省级特色专业3个，省级现代化专业群2个。学院有国家级技能培训基地1个，省高水平示范性实训基地3个，公共实训基地1个，实验实训条件国内一流，多次承担市级、省级、国家级大型比赛。

Jiangsu College of Tourism is a tourism vocational college with distinctive characteristics. It has more than 12,000 students and has 9 secondary departments including The Department of Culinary Science and Technology, The Department of Tourism Management, The Department of Information Engineering, The Department of International Business, The Department of Arts and Crafts, The Department of Economics and Management, and Sports Department, The Department of Public Curriculum Foundation, The Department of Marxism. There are 34 majors closely related to tourism, including tourism management, hotel management, cooking and nutrition, and airborne services, among which are 1 demonstration site for national cultural heritage and innovation among vocational colleges, 5 provincial brand majors, 3 provincial special majors and 2 provincial modernization specialty groups. The college has 1 national skill training base, 3 provincial high-level demonstration training bases, and 1 public training base. The experimental training conditions are first-class in China and it has repeatedly been held for large-scale competitions at the municipal, provincial and national levels.

师资队伍 Faculty

学院现有专任教师454人，高级职称130人，具有硕士及以上学位303人，“双师型”教师占比73%，有国家级技能名师、大师56人，省级技能名师28人，有20余名教师具有海外教育背景。

The college currently has 454 teachers, with 130 teachers of senior titles, 303 teachers with master degree, 73% of teachers with both skills and expertise, 56 national level masters, 28 provincial level masters. There are more than 20 teachers with overseas education background.

学院文化 Culture of college

学院坚持“文化育人”,着力打造“职教特质、地方特色”校园文化。学院现有2个省级精品社团和60多个校园学生社团，学生在全省创新、创业大赛中获奖40多项。毕业生综合素质高，技术技能强，深受用人单位青睐，就业率一直稳定在98%以上，毕业生遍布全国及海内外四十多个国家和地区。

The college insists on “cultural education” and strives to create” vocational education with local characteristics” campus culture. The college has 2 provincial student associations and more than 60 student associations at school. Students won more than 40 medals in provincial innovation and entrepreneurship contests. Students graduate with high comprehensive quality, and strong technical skills, favored by employers. The employment rate has been stable at more than 98%, with graduates throughout the country and more than 40 countries and regions abroad.

学院先后被表彰为全国教育系统先进集体、全国德育工作先进集体、首批国家改革发展示范校、江苏省职业教育先进单位、江苏省“和谐校园”、江苏省退役士兵培训工作先进单位；多次获得全国职业院校技能大赛突出贡献奖。

The college has been awarded School with Honor in national education circle, in moral education, the first model school for education reform nationwide, the example of Harmonious School in Jiangsu Province, the exemplary training base for veteran and the major contributor in national vocational skill contests.

 

一、如何申请  How to Apply

（一）招生条件  Admission Requirement

1.所有申请学生须年满18周岁，须持有高中毕业或同等学历。申请3年专科学历教育英语授课专业的学生需提供英语学习良好及以上证明或成绩单。

All applicants should over the age of 18 and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants for 3-year junior college program taught in English should provide proof of good English learning or transcripts.

2.来华留学生应当对华友好，熟悉中国历史、地理、社会、经济等中国国情和文化基本知识，了解中国政治制度和外交政策，理解中国社会主流价值观和公共道德观念，形成良好的法治观念和道德意识；

Applicants should be friendly to China, familiar with Chinese history, geography, society, economy, China’s National Conditions and basic knowledge of Chinese culture

Understand China’s political system and foreign policy, the mainstream values and public morality in China, and form a good sense of legal concept and moral consciousness

3.来华留学生应具备独立生活与学习的能力，有良好的自律能力和人际交往能力，身体健康；

Applicants should have good self-discipline and interpersonal skills for independent living and studying, being good health.

4.来华留学生的家庭经济能力能支持其学习期间奖学金以外的生活和交通等费用。

Applicants should have financial support from family or other organizations to cover living and transportation expenses other than the scholarships during the study period.

（二）申请流程  Application Procedure

1.申请人需将以下材料的电子文本发送至电子邮箱：jslygjc@jstc.edu.cn

（1）江苏旅游职业学院国际学生来华学习申请表

（2）有效期内的护照副本、2张护照照片

（3）本人高中毕业证书副本或学校证明

（4）汉语（HSK）四级或以上证书/英语学习证明或成绩单以及其他奖学证书

Applicants should submit his/her documents to admission officers by whom all the documents will be submitted to the E-mail address: jslygjc@jstc.edu.cn, Documents required include:

(1) Word edition and electronic text of Application Form for International Students to study at Jiangsu College of Tourism;

(2) Electronic copies of passport copy within the valid period, two passport photos;

(3) Electronic Copies of graduation certificate of high school or study or proof of study issued by school;

(4) Electronic Copies of HSK Level4 certificate or above, English study certificate or transcripts and other awarding certificates if necessary.

2.凡被我校录取者，将在申请截止时间前寄发中英文版《江苏旅游职业学院录取通知书》和外国人员来华签证申请表（JW202表）。学生持上述文件至中国驻外签证机构办理“X”签证。

Jiangsu College of Tourism will issue the bilingual Admission Letter and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) to the admitted students within 3 weeks after the application deadline. The successful applicant goes to Embassy of People’s Republic of China with the Jiangsu College of Tourism Admission Letter to apply student visa (X)

3.新生应按入学通知书规定的时间持录取通知书和外国留学人员来华签证申请表（JW202表）准时入学。无故逾期两周不到校报道者按自动失去入学资格处理。入学后，由学校组织进行身体检查，检查结果合格者，方能正式获得入学资格。

Successful applicants should bring their Jiangsu College of Tourism Admission Notice and their JW202 form to Jiangsu College of Tourism, who could not enroll on time are required to go through the extension procedure. If the students pass the physical examination for Residence Permit after their arrival, they will gain the admission into the courses.

二、学习指南  Study Guide

（一）学制学期  System &Term

1.学  制：学历生3年专科（英语授课/汉语授课），2学期/学年，

2.春学期：3月-6月（7-8月为暑假）

3.秋学期：9月-12月（1-2月为寒假）

（三）Major Introduction 专业简介

 

1. Hospitality Management

This major focuses on training high-quality talents for the international affiliated hotel, domestic famous hotel management group, boutique hotels, catering group, senior clubs and other modern tourist service enterprises. After professional training in 3 years, students can grow into the grass-roots managers.

Course：Introduction to Hospitality Management, Hotel English, Hotel Service Protocol, Food Nutrition, Hygiene and Safety, Hotel Marketing Management, Hotel Human Resources Management, Front Office Service and Management, Housekeeping Service and Management, Food and Beverage Service and Management

Future employment prospect: International joint hotels, domestic famous hotel management groups, boutique hotels, specialty catering groups, senior clubs, resorts, luxury stores, international cruise, etc.

 

2. Cooking Techniques and Nutrition

This major has a history of 60 years, and has a strong professional faculty. It is now a brand major of Jiangsu Province and a national Reform and development Demonstration school. Professional value more than 1000 ten thousand yuan experimental training equipment, with the most advanced, the most scientific, the most practical cooking training base, pay attention to cultivate students to master modern cooking theory knowledge and operation skills, cultivate students with modern cooking concept, have engaged in cooking professional work needs of comprehensive ability, has the great hall of the central committee, the administration, Central Committee of the Communist Party of China logistics center stable external training base more than 60, graduates around the world.

Course：Cooking Technology, Dish Making, Chinese food and health care, Food Carving, Cooking arts and crafts, Banquet Design and production, Cooking Raw Materials, Chinese Famous Dishes, Chinese Food Culture

Future employment prospect: This professional set up including the general office of the central, the central commission for discipline inspection, the central organization department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign embassies and consulates, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Public Security, Beijing great hall of the people and other internship employment base, students during the period of school, in addition to the five-star hotel internship, many students can also go to embassies and consulates training trainee, such as the United States, Germany, Singapore, the united Arab emirates, etc. Graduates are mainly distributed in five-star hotels, international catering chain enterprises, etc.

 

3. Digital Media Art Design

This major aims to educate students who can adapt to the development requirements of the digital age and engage in the production of digital content in the form of graphics, video and live broadcasting. 

Through systematic study, students can master the basic theoretical knowledge and professional skills of network short video and digital video processing technology, thus possessing good professional ethics and certain artistic accomplishment.

In the future, students will be able to engage in digital short video production, photography, we media operation, advertising media design, etc., and become a composite technical who is skilled in certain innovation and entrepreneurial ability.

Course：Film and Television Shooting, Film and Television Editing, Film and Television Post-Production, 3D Software, 2D Animation Production, Graphics and Image Processing, Layout Design, Introduction to Digital Media

Future employment prospect: We Media Companies, Internet Entertainment Enterprises, Advertising Media Enterprises, Animation Production Enterprises, etc.

 

4. International Marketing

This major cultivates high-quality compound technical talents who will master the theory of international marketing management and planning, have strong practical abilities of international marketing business and planning, and engage in international marketing business and planning in Chinese and foreign industrial and commercial enterprises or related industries.

Course: Economics, Management, International Marketing, International Consumer Behavior, Marketing Planning, Network Marketing

（二）住宿及生活提示 Accommodation and living tips

   1.住宿条件 Accommodation

   5人合住一套公寓，设备齐全的淋浴和卫生设施；配用床和床具、书桌和衣柜；独立的电器如空调、热水器；互联网。

   5 students will share one apartment, well-equipped with facilities for showering and toilet; well-furnished with bed and bedclothes, study desk, wardrobe; self-contained electrical appliances such as air conditioner, water heater, washing machine, and internet.

  2.餐饮Canteen

  学校食堂售卖一日三餐，餐饮费约1000元/月。生活费丰俭各异。

  Campus canteens sell three meals a day, the cost is about 1000 CNY/month. Cost of living varies with each individual.
